Borealis lounge
This was a multi-faceted visualization project where I had to use photogrammetry for model creation and compose multiple scenes to show off lounge areas for airports.
Due to the fact that the client did not have a 3D model nor any drawings of the main product, the massage chair, but there was one physically on site, I had to virtualize it for building the scenes.
I went on location and took all the necessary photos for the next step.
The photogrammetry approach gave me all the necessary dimensions and proportions but was topologically broken.
I modelled a clean high-poly version of the chair, added textures from photos and created necessary materials.
After creating the highly detailed model with managable topology, I composited the 3D chair renders onto photographs.
It was necessary to match the virtual camera parameters and lighting conditions of the 3D scene as closely as possible to the reference images.
Finally I composed and lit a complete 3D scene using the chairs for the lounge area. Some additional models were hand-modelled and CAD drawings adjusted, plant models were pre-existing assets.
Exterior visualization of a residential building
The goal was to pre-visualize a suburbian house in a natural setting. For input I had only the blueprints of the building, so it had to be modelled from scratch. The environment was composed of pre-existing assets.
Exhibit area pre-visualization
Modelling, lighting and rendering of an interior scene for a national park visitor center and some illustrative animations of landscape formation.
Re-visualizing exterior and interior
This project required adjusting materials, relighting all the scenes, composing some assets and small model adjustments. The Building models were given as input and environment assets were pre-existing. The focus was on setting up materials, lighting setup, placing assets and post-processing to produce a warm evening mood.
